The Pocatello Cross Country Ski Foundation is conducting a fundraiser to raise $5,000 for a weather
station/webcam for the Mink Creek Nordic Ski Area. The city of Pocatello has agreed to
contribute the monthly Internet fee. Besides the additional security this equipment will provide, it
will also allow the webcam and real-time weather information (temperature, humidity and wind
speed) to be available on the Pokyxc website. Currently, the weather data on the website are
actually from Pocatello. Many of us have had the experience of driving up there just to find out
that the conditions at the Area are much different than in town.
