PXCSF Fall Fun Run/Walks 2024
Greeting Skiers and Runners
Here is info on this years PXCSF Trail Runs/Walks. The October 5th Run/Walk will start at 8:00/walkers and 8:30AM for the runners. This event is in conjunction with the Mink Creek Nordic Area work days. The City has information on these work days and I’ll be forwarding more info later in the summer. FYI the first work day is in September and there will not be a scheduled run/walk on that day.
The Highbasin Fun Run/Walk will be on October 12th starting a little later at 8:30 for the walkers and 9:00AM for the runners. There is no scheduled work day after this event.

There are two races to support the Pocatello Cross Country Ski Foundation will take place Saturday October 5th. All proceeds go to the Foundation and help to support excellent cross country skiing in Pocatello. Walkers will start at 8:00 and runners will start at 8:30.

The 4.4 mile trail follows the Nordic ski course through Aspen groves and high meadows and feels somewhat like a good old fashioned cross country course. The race follows the Potato Cup Race Loop plus the Canyon ski trail – Lots of ups and downs on the rolling course with 1 major climb on the ski trails at the Nordic Center.
Pre-registration is only $25 and closes on 2nd.
Day of registration is $35 and starts at 7:30 AM and closes at 8:00 AM. Walkers will start at 8:00 and runners will start at 8:30.
Don’t forget, all proceeds from this event go to support volunteer grooming by the Pocatello Cross Country Ski Foundation.
Awards will be given after the 2nd race on October 12th. Must be present to win.
High Basin Fun Run 2024
The second in a series of two races to support the Pocatello Cross Country Ski Foundation will take place Saturday October 12th. All proceeds go to the Foundation and help to support excellent cross country skiing in Pocatello. Walkers will start at 8:30 and runners will start at 9.
This 6.4 mile loop will take you to the high point of the Nordic ski area and provide stunning views of the surrounding area. After running all of the upper ski trails, the course finishes on the upper snow shoe trail and, combined with the Nordic Center Fun Run, exposes you to almost the entire ski area!
Pre-registration is only $25 and closes on October 9th.
Day of registration is $35 and starts at 8 AM and closes at 8:45 AM. Walkers will start at 8:30 and runners will start at 9.
