It was amazing that so many people showed up to each Fun Race this year. The food was good and the skiing was.
“As a sport, cross-country skiing is one of the most difficult endurance sports, as its motions use every major muscle group and it (along with running, rowing and swimming) is one of the sports that burn the most calories per hour in execution…the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships, and the FIS World Cup events have long been a showcase for the world’s fastest cross country skiers.” *
The good news is on Wednesdays nights you can also burn calories, save air fare and experience Euro ski cuisine, just head on up to Mink Creek Nordic area. There is no better reason to leave work early and watch the sun set on Scout Mountain while racing or touring around our beautiful trails. The air is fresh and the yurt toasty warm.
The 2012 PXCSF Fun Race Series is dedicated to the World Cup Nordic Schedule. Each Fun Race will honor a World Cup host country with ethnic food and drink. Most of these races are within days of each Fun Race.
